Whiteley Community Association has a committee of Whiteley residents working in a voluntary capacity to run the Community Centre. The core group (Executive Committee) meets monthly and keeps an active interest with the general running of the centre. The General Committee meets quarterly, and involves more of the Centre users, Police and Councillors.

Support for the staff and customers, fund raising and decision making are among the tasks fulfilled by the committee.

Regular meetings allow centre users to keep each other, the staff and committee informed of day to day issues and activities.

Registered Charity No. 1062300. Whiteley Community Centre is a facility for the whole of the Whiteley area. It hosts a variety of activities, including martial arts, exercise classes, children’s groups and parties, and both the Buttercups Nursery and Whiteley Community Pre-School. Other meeting rooms are available and suitable for smaller activity groups and business meetings. There is a also a Kitchen and a Coffee Lounge area.

The Whiteley Youth Club was originally launched around 2003. It underwent a revamp in March 2011 and was very successful until 2015, but unfortunatly had to close due to a lack of volunteers.

In 2018 Whiteley Community Association engaged with Y Services to reboot the Whiteley Youth Club. The club gives young people the chance to meet their peers from the local area, to enjoy fun activities, and learn new skills.

The Youth Club is based at the Whiteley Community Centre and runs on Friday evenings from 18:45 - 20:45 (term time only). It is designed for young people aged 10 - 14 years old. The entry fee is £2.00 per week (pre registration is required - see below), and a tuck shop is provided for refreshments.

In 2011 grant funding was provided by councillors from both Fareham and Winchester Councils to purchase new equipment.. Further grants have been made available since 2018.
